We aim to respond as quickly as we can.
Imposter X has no accounts and no login, so you never need to share a username or password with us — and we'll never ask for one.
Imposter X is a local, pass-the-phone party game for a group in the same room — you only need one iPhone.
The goal: regular players try to catch the imposter, and the imposter tries to blend in and survive the vote.
No account is required — there's no sign-up or login. The App is offline-first: word packs are stored on your device, so you can play without a connection. An internet connection is only used to download new game content, show ads (free version), and process purchases.
Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks premium features and removes ads. You can subscribe from within the App. Billing is handled by Apple — see "How do I manage or cancel my subscription?" below.
Subscribe to Pro. Once Pro is active on your device, ads are removed. (See "How do I restore my purchase?" below if you've already subscribed but still see ads.)
If you reinstalled the App or switched devices using the same Apple ID:
Your "Pro" entitlement is tied to your Apple ID, so it will be restored as long as you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple, not by us. To view, change, or cancel:
Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the current billing period. Refund requests are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
The free version of Imposter X is ad-supported via Google AdMob. When you first run the App, iOS shows an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt:
The IDFA is only used after you allow tracking; it is not accessed before you respond to the prompt. Declining tracking does not make the App ad-free — it only removes ad personalization. You can change this any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. To remove ads entirely, subscribe to Pro.
Note: this ATT tracking choice is separate from the analytics/crash-reporting setting described below.
Analytics and crash reporting are off by default and are independent from the ATT advertising choice above. If you opted in, you can change your choice anytime in the App's Settings screen. Turning them off stops further collection.
Imposter X stores your settings and game state on your device. To reset:
Crash diagnostics help us most when crash reporting is enabled in the App's settings (it is off by default).
Imposter X is built for iPhone.
We take privacy seriously, and the App is designed to minimize data: there are no accounts, gameplay stays on your device, and analytics/crash reporting are off by default.
